La Academia reveló este martes la esperada lista de nominados para la 96ª edición de los Premios Oscar 2024. Encabezando la competencia se encuentran las destacadas películas «Oppenheimer» con 13 nominaciones, «Poor Things» con 11, «Killers of the Flower Moon» con 10, y «Barbie» con 8 menciones.
También destaca la nominación del mexicano Rodrigo Prieto, por su trabajo de fotografía en la película “Killers of the Flower Moon”, del director Martin Scorsese. Es la cuarta ocasión que el cinefotógrafo compite por el premio de la Academia. El mexicano, egresado del Centro de Capacitación Cinematográfica, ha trabajado en películas como “Dama de noche”; “Amores perros”, con el también mexicano Alejandro González Iñárritu; “Secreto en la montaña”, que le dio su primera nominación al Oscar; “El lobo de Wall Street; “El irlandés” y “Likeness”, con la que debutó como director.
La expectación crece mientras el mundo del cine aguarda ansioso para conocer a los ganadores, quienes serán anunciados el próximo 10 de marzo de 2024. La ceremonia, que dará inicio a las 19:30 horas (tiempo del centro de México), será dirigida por Jimmy Kimmel y se llevará a cabo en el prestigioso teatro Dolby de Los Ángeles, Estados Unidos.
En Los Ángeles, Zazie Beetz y Jack Quaid tuvieron el honor de desvelar la lista definitiva de candidatos en las 23 categorías que conforman los premios de la Academia.
